Gourd artwork will last through many generations . Gourds have been found intact in Egyptian tombs.  Each is a unique product of nature.  The gourd sets in the field for a winter after the growing season. They are then cleaned.  It then takes many hours to produce a work of art on a hard shelled gourd.

Each gourd is chosen for it’s special qualities as no two are alike. All artwork has to be adapted for a three dimensional surface.  Proportions are very different than on a symetrical flat surface.  Paintings and gourds must be chosen for each other.   The final work is then coated with a protective agent.

All artwork is signed and comes with a certificate of authentication. All gourds are hard shelled unless otherwise stated and have natural texture on the inside. All gourds and drums are protected with polyurethane. Gourds are protected inside and out.
